Barton Lidice Benes (American, 1942-2012). Mixed and collage titled "Aspirations," depicting objects affixed to paper with mixed media thought bubbles comprised of seven panels, framed together. Pencil signed, titled, and dated along the lower margin of the right-most panel. This playful works depicts each item dreaming of what it could be; for example, an eraser dreams of pencil scribbles to erase, two fifty cent packets dream of being a dollar bill, and a pen dreams of an inkwell.

Each panel; height: 11 in x width: 9 1/2 in. Framed; height: 78 in x width: 16 1/2 in. The item is in excellent condition with no visible tears, creases, or losses. No visible sign of restoration. The margins of each paper show wear, which is intended by the artist. Framed under the plexiglass; not inspected out of frame. Very light wear to the frame.
