Barton Lidice Benes (American, 1942-2012). Mixed and collage titled "Aspirations," depicting objects affixed to paper with mixed media thought bubbles comprised of seven panels, framed together. Pencil signed, titled, and dated along the lower margin of the right-most panel. This playful works depicts each item dreaming of what it could be; for example, an eraser dreams of pencil scribbles to erase, two fifty cent packets dream of being a dollar bill, and a pen dreams of an inkwell.
