In the late 1990s, Japan-based arts and culture magazine, Tokion, commissioned a project by several iconic graffiti artists - including Barry McGee, Phil Frost, Shepard Fairey, KAWS, and Misha Hollenbach - to create an original Tokion poster that would be used in an advertising campaign throughout Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Chicago.
