Copper Hoard Culture antennae sword, 2,800-1,500 BCE, Gangetic Valley, India. These antennae swords or are daggers cast and hammered from unalloyed copper decorated with an "antennae" style pommel and a prominent ridge. Their function was mainly ceremonial or dedicatory and they were ritually "killed" by folding the blade twice before being placed in the grave.
