Albrecht Durer (German, 1471-1528). Engraving on paper titled "St. Jerome in his Study" depicting the saint translating the bible into Latin while his dog and lion sleep peacefully at his feet. Monogrammed in plate along the lower right.

Condition
There are major areas of chipping and losses throughout along the edges, visible in the lot listing. The sheet is very toned. The paper is acidic which has caused the sheet to become quite brittle. It is mounted to a piece of paper though it has started to come loose from this sheet. There are scuffs throughout the surface. Some areas of previous creases. Areas of discoloration throughout. The sheet it is mounted to has similar issues to the print including many areas of foxing.
