Olga Ciardi (Italian, 19th century). Egg tempera on panel painting depicting a trumpeting angel, ca. 1850. The composition of the angel is based on Fra Giovanni Angelico's (born Guido di Pietro, ca. 1395-1455) painting of angels with trumpets. Signed "Olga Ciardi Firenze" along the lower right. Housed in an ornate gilt Gothic frame. Label affixed to verso reads, "The Beard Art Galleries at Dayton's Seventh and Nicollet, Minneapolis. No 582."
