Limoges, France and Halcyon Days, England. Group of six porcelain pill or trinket boxes in the shape of foods or serving ware. All marked along the interior or underside. Two Halcyon Days boxes in the shape of a pear and an apple. Four Limoges boxes: one in the shape of a tropical drink; one pineapple; one kettle; and one Easter egg.
Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Height ranges from 2 in to 4 in; diameter ranges from 1 in to 2 in.
All boxes have no visible cracks, chips, or losses. Light wear throughout each consistent with age and use. The top/lid of the apple box is detached from the metal rim. Along the interior top of the pear there is a small metal fitting that has come detached but is included. The tea kettle lid is broken and is missing one metal loop that would attach it to the rim; it is partially attached but comes off easily.
