Katherine Turczan (American, b. 1965). Group of four photographs - three silver gelatin prints and one toned silver gelatin print - from the series "Women in the Ukraine," taken in Kiev, Ukraine, 1995. Including "Elena Lykiemetz, Student, Kyiv, Ukraine," "Novices, Frolovsky Monastery, Kyiv, Ukraine," a portrait of a young girl standing amongst laundered clothes in Kyiv in 1991, and a couple identified as Mariana and Danio in a hospital in Lviv, Ukraine in 1995. Turczan is a faculty member at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD).

Condition
The emulsion of all is smooth. There are no tears, losses, or restorations. All photographs have a slight undulation to the sheet. A copyright sticker from the artist is affixed to the verso of each. A sheet of paper indicating previous exhibition history is affixed to the verso of each with two pieces of clear tape.
