Group of three redware slip decorated stoneware ceramic pottery chargers. The two round chargers each with an incised signature along the underside by Christopher Woods (American, 20th c.), dated 1996, and titled "Hello good day." The larger rectangular charger with an incised signature along the underside by Greg Shooner (American, 20th c.), dated 1999, impressed "Shooner American Redware Oregonia, OH" and "Mary Spellmire-Shooner."
Circular plates, each; diameter: 10 in. Square; height: 11 1/4 in x width: 14 in.
All three pieces are in good condition; no major chips, cracks, or losses. They have crazing and firing flaws throughout. Wear throughout, most visible along their underside, consistent with their age and use. One of the smaller pieces with three symbols, captured lower right, has chips and losses throughout the rim; there are scuffs along the underside. The other smaller piece, captured upper right, has multiple cracks throughout the rim; along the underside, there is a loss that measures 1 1/2 inches; there are three other areas with cracks and losses along the underside of the rim; there is an area, measuring 6 inches, with adhesive residue; there are cracks and losses throughout its rim. The bigger plate, captured left, has noticeable losses in the center; there is wear and scratches throughout; there are chips and losses along the rim; along the underside, there are some losses to the rim; there is a white accretion in the center. When inspected under UV light, none of them show a sign of restoration.
