Two ancient Chinese metal items including a bronze scale weight, possibly a scale weight, and a bronze decorative pushou in the form of a horse with a custom Lucite stand. Also included is a gilt bronze arrowhead whistle, likely for an imperial rain ritual ceremony.
Height ranges from 1 3/4 in to 3 1/2 in; width ranges from 1 1/4 in to 2 1/4 in; depth ranges from 3/4 in to 1 3/4 in. The bronze scale weight and the bronze decorative pushou are in generally good condition with no major losses, cracks, or dents. The scale weight has a residue that goes through itself from the top part to the foot; along the other side, there is an area that shows a distinctively different color from the rest, possibly a restoration attempt. The pushou has a minute crack along the neck; there is oxidation throughout. The gilt bronze arrowhead whistle has a major loss to the body as shown in the lot listing; there is a loss to the gilt and there is oxidation visible. All items have heavy wear throughout, as expected from age. None of them show a clear sign of restoration under UV light.
