20th century Caucasian wool rug. The highly decorated medallion is surrounded by a field of red which is decorated throughout with palmette and floral motifs in yellows, blues, greens. The pale yellow subguard with floral and hummingbird designs; the red inner guard is likewise decorated with floral and hummingbird designs. These designs are repeated in the outer guard. The dark blue main stripe is decorated throughout with intertwining arabesques and floral motifs. With a short fringe along two sides.
