Group of two historical documents naming Henry E. Day postmaster of the city of Raymond in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota. Signed by U.S. President Calvin Coolidge and Postmaster General Harry S. New. One document dated December 19, 1923 and the testimony dated January 24, 1924. One document dated May 14, 1928 and the testimony dated June 2, 1928.
Height: 14 in x width: 18 in.

Condition

No visible tears, creases, or losses. No visible sign of restoration under UV light. The sheets are toned has browning and light soiling. Both sheets are kept rolled; light creases throughout. The item, captured lower in the lot listing, there is light soiling to the upper margin and upper left quadrant. There is minute black accretion to the upper left quadrant. To the lower margin, there is a light accretion. Along the lower margin, there are pencil marks. Along the verso, the paper is toned, browned, and has soiling. To the left side of the verso, there is a minute pinhole. The item captured upper in the lot listing has a folded crease to the upper left corner, measuring 2 1/2 in. Along the verso of the item, upper in the listing, there is minute black accretion to the center and light soiling throughout; to the lower left quadrant, there is patterned mark; please see the listing image.
