Fidelma Cadmus Kirstein (1906-1991). Ink and watercolor illustrations on paper. One depicts a girl and boy sitting under a tree with a cupid peering down at the couple; signed and dated 1920 along the lower right. The other illustrates a young girl holding a bouquet of flowers; signed and dated 1920. Each drawing is mounted to a board. The work is further signed and dated 1923 lightly in pencil along the verso of the board.

Condition
The artworks are mounted; each sheet is toned. The upper drawing is irregular in shape and may have been trimmed. It is mounted along all edges, however, the lower edge has separated from the board and cups upwards slightly. There are two deep creases along the lower edge; light creases throughout all edges. Soiling throughout the illustration, mainly located along the lower edge. The lower drawing is mounted to the board along all edges though the right edge has come loose. There is a slight undulation to the sheet from the mounting. Wear along the edges. There is an area of soiling along the upper left edge. There is wear throughout the board backing and soiling. The corners show heavy wear and minor losses. There is a large loss to the lower right corner, the piece is included; the tear is visible in the lot listing. Soiling to the verso.
