Currier and Ives, United States. Group of two hand-colored lithographs depicting figures in a garden including:
"Kiss Me Quick," subtitled "Children: This is the Third Time Within an Hour That I Have Placed Your Hats Properly on Your Heads - There!!" depicting a couple sneaking a quick kiss while hats are placed firmly on the children's heads.

Currier and Ives was founded by Nathaniel Currier (American, 1813-1888) in 1835 as "the Grand Central Depot for Cheap and Popular Prints," but changed its name with the addition of James Merritt Ives (American, 1824-1895) in 1857. The company created over 7000 popular lithographs depicting American life until 1907.

Both sheets are toned. Both with some wear and soiling along the edges. "Kiss Me Quick" with slightly more wear along the edges including some small chips/frits. There are a few spots of foxing throughout both sheets. Some soiling to the versos of both prints including some bleed-through of the pigment used when coloring the print. "Kiss Me Quick" with two small areas of tape reside and skimming along the verso along the upper edge. Both works are not framed. No evidence of restoration when viewed under UV light.

Revere Auctions is not obligated to release a lot to the purchaser until title to the lot has passed. The purchaser agrees to pay Revere Auctions handling charge of $30 for any check dishonored by the drawee.
SHIPPING
Revere Auctions does NOT offer in-house shipping. As a convenience to the Buyer, Revere Auctions will make a referral for packing and shipping. This is at the request, expense, and risk of the Buyer, and Revere Auctions assumes no responsibility for the items or the timing of delivery. Insurance for in transit items is the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer must reach out to a shipping company to arrange shipping.
