Group of two Chinese antiques including one wooden polychromed sculpture depicting a figure, possibly a Guanyin, and one giltwood carved pedestal fitted as a lamp.
Lamp; height: 24 3/4 in x diameter: 7 1/2 in. Sculpture, on the stand; height: 13 3/4 in x width: 4 1/4 in x depth: 3 in.
Dust collected to the surface of both items. Both have multiple losses throughout; there are multiple areas with the paint peeled off throughout each piece. The sculpture has heavy wear throughout; the color is dull; there are multiple losses throughout; when inspected under UV light, there is a visible restoration attempt to the stand and to the left foot; there is a dark residue on the forehead. The lamp also has multiple areas that show a sign of a restoration attempt; there is oxidation to the metal part. Wear to the underside, consistent with its age and use. Revere Auctions is not obligated to release a lot to the purchaser until title to the lot has passed. The purchaser agrees to pay Revere Auctions handling charge of $30 for any check dishonored by the drawee.
SHIPPING
Revere Auctions does NOT offer in-house shipping. As a convenience to the Buyer, Revere Auctions will make a referral for packing and shipping. This is at the request, expense, and risk of the Buyer, and Revere Auctions assumes no responsibility for the items or the timing of delivery. Insurance for in transit items is the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer must reach out to a shipping company to arrange shipping.
