Group of 65 small tintype portrait photographs, mostly of schoolchildren. Possibly sixteenth plate photographs. There are 17 tintypes in the smaller album and 48 in the larger album. Several of the photographs in the larger album are dated April of 1894.

Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

(Large) Height: 4 3/4 in x width: 3 1/2 in x depth: 1 in. (Small) Height: 3 3/4 in x width: 3 1/4 in x depth: 1 in. There is discoloration throughout the photographs. Wear to the structure of the albums, along the spines in particular. There are pencil inscriptions to both albums. There is wear to both albums, consistent with age and use.
