Chinese lacquered wooden box decorated with gilt chinoiserie motifs along the lid and sides and with two lidded metal-lined compartments nested in the interior. Label affixed to the underside notes that this once belonged to a member of the English Royal Order of Garter as indicated by the insignia along the inside of the lid surrounding the monogram "F.D."
