One 1766 William Pitt half penny token featuring a left facing portrait of William Pitt, a British ally of the Colonial Americans and opponent of the Stamp Act. His portrait on the obverse is surrounded by "THE RESTORER OF ∑ COMMERCE 1766 NO STAMPS" and on the reverse there is a ship surrounded by "THANKS ∑ TO ∑ THE ∑ FRIENDS ∑ OF ∑ LIBERTY ∑ AND ∑ TRADE ∑ AMERICA." Graded by PCGS as AU53 indicating a slight flatness and loss of luster on the high points of the design but some of the luster remains.
