Group of 13 spongeware plates decorated with floral and foliate motifs including five plates, five saucers, two small dishes, and one covered vessel. Makers marks along the underside including Petrus Regout Maastricht, Nippon Koshitsu Toki Co., and Opaque de Sarreguemines among other faience and ceramic producers.
Lidded pot; height: 5 1/4 in x diameter: 6 1/2 in. Plates; diameter ranges from 5 1/4 in to 14 1/4 in.
The items are in fair condition overall with no major chips, cracks, or losses that affect the overall piece. All items show wear, crazing, and soiling throughout, as shown in the lot listing; wear to the underside, consistent with age and use. As expected from age, there are several areas where the coloration has faded. All items show light original firing flaws. Six plates have paint accretion along the underside, possibly original. Four plates have minute losses to the glaze. Three plates have an adhesive residue to the underside- the length ranging from 1/4 inch to 1 inch. Two plates have minute chips to the rim. The plate (far left in the top row in the lot listing) has a 2 1/2 inch crack to the center of the underside; there is a 5 1/2 inch hairline crack near the footrim. The plate (far right in the top row in the listing) has a chip to the exterior, which measures 1 1/4 inches. The yellow plate (second from the right in the second row) has a chip to the rim, which measures 3/4 inch. None of the items show visible signs of restoration under UV light.

Visa, Discover, American Express or MasterCard may be used and are subject to a 3.0% convenience fee and are limited to purchases of $5,000.00 (total). Credit Card payments for jewelry and gold are NOT accepted. The purchaser’s obligation to pay immediately the full purchase price is absolute and unconditional and is not subject to any defenses, setoffs or counterclaims of any kind whatsoever. Revere Auctions is not obligated to release a lot to the purchaser until title to the lot has passed. The purchaser agrees to pay Revere Auctions handling charge of $30 for any check dishonored by the drawee.
SHIPPING
Revere Auctions does NOT offer in-house shipping. As a convenience to the Buyer, Revere Auctions will make a referral for packing and shipping. This is at the request, expense, and risk of the Buyer, and Revere Auctions assumes no responsibility for the items or the timing of delivery. Insurance for in transit items is the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer must reach out to a shipping company to arrange shipping.
